With Windows 11’S GPT-4 Turbo Upgrade For Copilot, Microsoft Continues To Experiment With AI.

With Windows 11’s GPT-4 Turbo upgrade for Copilot, Microsoft continues to experiment with AI.

While there are still challenges with implementation, Bing AI, which Microsoft just renamed from Bing Chat to Copilot (yes, even the web-based version is now officially called Copilot, just to confuse everyone even more), should have GPT-4 Turbo fairly soon.

GPT-4 is now powered by Bing AI, however GPT-4, Turbo will enable a number of benefits, such as more accurate query responses and other important improvements.

Thanks to a conversation between a Bing AI user and Mikhail Parakhin, Microsoft’s head of advertising and web services, on X (formerly Twitter), we learned more about the progress being made with the move to GPT- 4 Turbo.

Ricardo, a resident of X, was captured by MS Power User noticing that they had recently accessed Bing’s updated interface and plugins. He asked, “Is Bing using GPT-4 Turbo now?”

In response, as seen in the tweet below, Parakhin said that GPT-4 Turbo is not yet operational in Copilot since some bugs still need to be addressed.

Not GPT-4-turbo yet, still need to iron out a few kinks. On Precise, I assume you are talking about Mobile: it is there, click on three dots->Show All Tones

Naturally, this update will also be available for Copilot on the web (formerly Bing Chat) and Copilott in Windows 11, which is basically Bing AI with added features like Windows commands and configuration manipulation.

Analysis: Mode Of Increase

We understand the comment that there are still “few” issues left to resolve, meaning that most of the work has already been done regarding the GPT-4 Turbo implementation. In other words, GPT-4 Turbo might be available in Copilot soon, or at least we can hope that.

As mentioned, anticipate faster (as the name suggests) and more accurate and relevant responses to requests. It’s currently in preview, but according to Microsoft, it “has the latest training data with knowledge through April 2023.” Just this month, OpenAI revealed GPT-4 Turbo and said it will also be cheaper to operate (for developers that purchase GPT-4, that is).

It should, in principle, mark a significant step forward for Bing AI, so it’s something to look forward to, hopefully soon.
